Axial Energy was founded to close that gap with smart, modular, scalable renewable energy systems designed specifically for African conditions — harsh environments, distributed demand, weak grids, and enormous growth potential.

Backed by Axial Works and Services Ltd, a Nigerian engineering company established in the 1990s, we bring 15+ years of deep engineering expertise in SCADA, industrial automation, battery storage, and power systems to Africa's energy challenge.

Our headquarters are in Lagos, Nigeria, and our ambition spans the continent.

1990s

Axial Works and Services Ltd Founded

Parent company established in Nigeria, providing automation, surveillance, and access control engineering services.

2010

Axial Energy Launched

Energy subsidiary established to bring smart, reliable renewable energy to Africa's underserved markets.

2013

First Commercial Solar Projects

Delivered first C&I solar installations in Lagos, proving the diesel-replacement business case.

2016

SCADA & Storage Integration

Expanded into battery storage and industrial-grade SCADA, differentiating from commodity installers.

2019

Microgrid Programme Launch

First community microgrid deployments in the Niger Delta, bringing electricity to off-grid villages.

2022

West Africa Expansion

Extended operations to Ghana and began pre-development on utility-scale projects in Northern Nigeria.

2025

5GW Vision Announced

Set the target to reach 5GW of installed renewable capacity across 12 African countries by 2035.
